After breakfast, enjoy a city tour of Barcelona before embarking the luxurious Oceania Marina.
This beautiful city dates back to the 13th-century and is rich in historical sites, galleries and restaurants. Stroll the medieval streets lined with aristocratic townhouses, baroque churches and charming squares. Take a walk through a pine forest to the 14th century Bellver Castle on a hill overlooking the city and the Bay of Palma and take the tour through its’ comprehensive museum dedicated to Mallorca’s history.
Explore pretty Collioure, a favorite destination of Matisse, with its distinctive pinkish-beige houses, colorful harbor, winding streets and lovely church, and nearby Elne with its impressive fortified cathedral and beautiful cloister.
Visit magnificent Carcassonne, a breathtaking fortified hilltop city of turrets, churches, stained glass and lovely squares, resurrected in the 19th century from ruins of the fortress built and expanded over nearly 1000 years.
See the sights and enjoy the views of historic old Marseille and visit the charming fishing port of Cassis. Venture into the celebrated Provençal countryside brimming with history and romance. Explore lovely Aix or stroll through Avignon and its Papal Palace and the hilltop village of Les Baux, officially classified as “one of the most beautiful villages in France”.
Drive along the famous Grand Corniche with its stunning views of Monaco and the Old City; then stroll through this marvelous quarter and its pink Grimaldi Palace.
Visit the famous Casino de Monte Carlo, an ornate gambling house that has been featured in multiple “James Bond” movies and is perhaps the most iconic building in this tiny principality.
Explore the wonderful old villages along the Côte d’Azur from Nice to medieval Eze or Cannes, Grasse and lovely St. Paul de Vence – each one a jewel to be savored.
Head out of town and discover the five stunning, colorful towns clinging to the cliffs along the coast. Hike along the trail connecting them or take a boat tour and see these towns from the water as ancient seafarers did. Go ashore and explore the picturesque towns and castles.
Visit intriguing Portovenere, another colorful town rising above one end of La Spezia’s harbor with breathtaking views and the lovely Church of San Pietro.
Spend a glorious day amidst the fabled architecture of this Renaissance city. See the Duomo with Brunelleschi’s dome, the famous baptistery, Michelangelo’s magnificent David and the astonishing Uffizi Gallery.
Choose to visit Pisa’s superb Campo dei Miracoli and its beautiful cathedral and famed campanile. Or enjoy the Tuscan countryside, Siena and San Gimignano, renowned for its medieval towers and local wines.
Disembark the ship and enjoy the beautiful Italian countryside as we travel to Rome. Once there, we will have a tour of the Eternal City.
After breakfast, enjoy a free day to explore on your own and “Do as the Romans do!
Revel in the magnificent monuments, from the ancient Roman Forum and Colosseum to the splendor of St. Peter’s Basilica with Michelangelo’s Pietà and his breathtaking frescoes in the Sistine Chapel. Or enjoy a drive through the lush farmlands of the Roman countryside to lovely medieval Castel Gandolfo.
